Application process

1. Fill in an application form

Please read the information for applicants on this page as well individual programme guidelines before filling out an application form. Please contact us should your organization have any further questions regarding the application process. It is important to enclose with the form all supporting documentation. We are not able to process applications that arrive without the supporting documents, and these will not be considered for funding without complete information and maybe returned.

The legal status of your institution
All applications must be accompanied by proof of the applying organization’s legal status and won’t be processed if the relevant documentation cannot be provided.

Bank account
Payments of awards will be issued by means of an

  1. Electronic bank transfer  or
  2. Cheque in GBP.

Your organization will need to hold a bank account which can receive or negotiate these funds. No payments will be made in local currencies or by cash. Individuals awards will be paid to the instituion providing the treatment.

Award Restriction
Awards will be made upto a maximum of 90% of the full application costs upto an absolute maximum of GBP 5,000. Evidence of the remainder of the funding should be provided with the application.

Audited accounts
If applying organizations are not required by state legislation to submit annual accounts which have been verified by external auditors, the applicant should submit:

  • Most recent financial documents that were submitted by the organization to the tax or other financial authorities in its home country.
  • List of sources of funding for the past year.

 

2. Processing and assessment

On reciept of the completed application, the forms will be processed by the Awards Officer, who will present these to the Trustees for consideration. The Trustees will make the awards based on the information supplied.

 

3. Outcome of applications

Once the award has been made, a letter notification will be sent. This will remain valid for 2 months. You must return the acknowledgement. The acknowledgement is award agreement. The award will be made within 7 days of receipt of the acknowledgement.

On application of the funds, a completion form must be completed and returned promptly

 

4. Making further applications

Institutions are eligible to apply to this award programme once per calendar year. Institutions can reapply to the Trust if their applications were rejected provided the proposal has been significantly revised.
